There has been a myth in the fandom that Gale never wanted to do

anything except independent films. He has done quite a string of them - 7

in all. People were shocked to see Gale accept a part in a TV production

called Martha Behind Bars, but I thought it was perfectly logical if you

follow the line of his career. Each step follows his connections. Susi

Landau got him into acting, then got him into WAKE. He filmed

Particles of Truth, and was cast in Life on the Ledge. He did SVU, and

that led to East Broadway. The other films are from the Hollywood

North connections - filmed in or around Toronto, with people he knew

from QAF or other projects.

The real pattern in Gale's work is that he works. He seems to take the

jobs as they are offered, and they're offered once people meet and work

with him. Everyone falls in love with him on some level.
